Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co has grown its corporate practice by adding four partners in New Delhi and Bengaluru, all coming from Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas.
Partners Ravindra Bandhakavi and Poornima Singh will join the Bengaluru office, whereas Amarta Roy and Srabanee Ghosh will operate from Delhi.
Bandhakavi offers more than 25 years of expertise in M&A and private equity. He has guided top private equity funds and multilateral bodies on investments across India and South Asia, covering deals from early to late stages.
His practice covers renewables, infrastructure, financial services, e-commerce, real estate, and manufacturing. Prior to Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, he was at Trilegal and the erstwhile Amarchand Mangaldas.
Roy’s career spans over 13 years assisting clients in private equity, joint ventures, financings, exits, demergers, and alternative investment funds, handling both buy- and sell-side deals.
Ghosh has over 12 years advising private equity and development finance institutions on investments and exits in India and South Asia. She has also managed numerous transfers in the pharmaceutical sector. Before Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, she worked at Trilegal, Luthra and Luthra Law Offices, and Wadia Ghandy & Co.
Her strengths include deal structuring, entry and exit strategies, and portfolio management. She previously worked at Canadian pension manager La Caisse (CDPQ) and Trilegal.
The major partner acquisitions follow a similar move last month, when Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas hired corporate attorneys Rohan Jain and Kshitij Arora from Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co.
In another development, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co has bolstered its intellectual property team by bringing in Jithin M George as a partner in its New Delhi office from K&S Partners.
Additionally, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas has welcomed back S Vivek, formerly general counsel at Chennai-based financial technology company M2P Fintech, as a partner in its capital markets practice in Bengaluru.
